Nursing care in Anderlecht (1070) — Maison Médicale Parc Astrid

At Maison Médicale Parc Astrid, nursing care is an integral part of our multidisciplinary offer. Our team of qualified and experienced nurses provides daily care at home and at the surgery for residents of 1070 and neighbouring municipalities (Cureghem, Saint-Guidon, Bizet, Aurore). We work hand in hand with the centre's GPs, ensuring rapid information flow and an always up-to-date patient record.

The major asset of a nursing team integrated into a community health centre is coordination: your doctor prescribes care, the nurse performs it the same or next day, and the result (glycaemia, blood pressure, wound) is recorded directly in the digital file.

Our nurses see patients in French, Dutch, English or Turkish.

• Simple and complex dressings: chronic wounds, venous ulcers, pressure sores, post-operative wounds
• Subcutaneous and intramuscular injections (insulin, anticoagulants, vitamins, prescribed vaccines)
• Blood tests at home or at the practice, with transport to the laboratory
• Diabetes follow-up: glycaemia, self-injection education, foot monitoring
• Post-operative care: dressing changes, removal of sutures and staples, scar monitoring
• Palliative care and end-of-life support in conjunction with your GP
• Personal hygiene care for people with loss of autonomy
• Weekly medication preparation (pill organiser) for chronic patients

For patients registered with the flat-rate, all nursing care delivered by our team falls under the flat-rate — including home visits in 1070 and neighbouring municipalities. No advance, no co-payment. Your insurer transfers a fixed monthly amount to the centre.

This system is particularly advantageous for repeated care (daily dressings, anticoagulant injections over several weeks, long-term diabetes follow-up).

Important: our nursing care is reserved exclusively for patients registered with the flat-rate. You can register via the « New patient » procedure.

The nurses of Maison Médicale Parc Astrid work primarily at the practice on Avenue du Roi-Soldat. This organisation guarantees reliable time slots, a sterile environment, full equipment and direct collaboration with the GPs whenever a clinical question arises during care.

When the patient's health justifies it — significant loss of mobility, return from hospital, palliative care, complex immobilising wounds — the referring nurse decides to carry out the care at home. This decision is strictly clinical, based on autonomy, family context and the type of care, and is reassessed regularly. It is not a service on demand.

Important: registration with the flat-rate at Maison Médicale Parc Astrid is mandatory to benefit from our nursing care. We do not treat unregistered patients. Furthermore, it is not permitted to call upon an external independent nurse without prior approval from the centre: your flat-rate nursing care is provided by our team, and any uncoordinated parallel care is not authorised in order to guarantee consistent follow-up and safety.
